Reflection on All Three Panels

Panel One

Panel One was the easiest to create, I started with using the template from our bootstrap practices and modified it to fit my needs. I used the same navigation bar from the practice and added a footer. The colorway and design was inspired by a website I plan to create, cg Behind The Lens. I used canva for my vision.

The hardest part of this panel was the plugins. I tried to incorporate a calendar plugin to showcase my ability with the form, but the calendar plugin is not working. This panel showcases they key elements of bootstrap and my ability to use it.

Panel Two

This panel was also on the easier end as I grabbed a template from startup bootstrap and modified it to resemble my own website. I could not change the CSS or JS so I just replaced the images and text. I also added a footer to the page. I also edited the footer.

The most challenging aspect of this panel was changing the images. I had to override the past CSS by using !Important! to get the images to change. I also had to change the google maps plugin. This panel showcases my ability to modify existing code to fit my needs.

Panel Three

Panel Three was the most challenging, but the most fun panel to work on. I used the same code as panel-two and modified the colorway first. I wanted to use the same pictures with a baby blue & light brown colorway, the gradient was a mistake at first. Upon seeing the gradient, I decided to keep it. I then changed the icons to match the theme, and I modified the orientation of the portfolio pictures to resemble a photo collage. Lastly, I added a form and working calendar plugin to mimic a RSVP/Appointment form. This panel displays my ability to transform existing code and add new features.

The most challenging aspect of this panel was the calendar plugin. I had to do a lot of research to get it to work. Another challenging aspect was the collage, the images were very stubborn at first and when that was solved, the grey overlay had many issues too. Eventually, I got everything to work and I am very proud of this panel.
